As we get older we lose volume to our face. This causes certain areas to collapse and sink inward aging us in ways that neither a surgical facelift nor skin rejuvenation can correct. Our skin becomes thinner, the facial bones become more prominent and our face looks more “angular” and older. Our skin rejuvenation treatment removes sun damage and wrinkles and tightens the skin on our face typically helping a patient look about 10 years younger. On the right patient, a Liquid Facelift can remove another 5-7 years by “plumping” up the skin and “fleshing” out the face. Results are quite natural looking.

A Liquid Facelift is accomplished with the use of a special hyaluronic acid product (a filler material) which is diluted down and injected into your tissues with a non sharp injection cannula. This is done under an intravenous sedation or ‘twilight’ anesthesia. Local anesthesia is used as well.

It is painless, completely safe and you may return to normal activities or work the next day. The filler material is a special Juvederm product which has been shown to be biostimulatory. That means it stimulates new collagen and tissue synthesis for long term improvement. Juvederm is made of hyaluronic acid, which is a natural body product. No allergy testing is required.

A Liquid Facelift differs from normal filler work in several ways. First, instead of injecting “clumps” of filler into select areas, which can cause lumpiness, the diluted filler material is spread out into the entire face. This results in a much more even application and a more natural look. Areas like the temples and eyelids, with very thin skin can be treated with excellent results. No “needles” are used. The diluted fluid is injected with a nonsharp cannula to prevent bruising.

The result is more “fullness” to your face, especially in the temple, eyelid, cheek, and jaw line areas. Nasolabial and mouth folds are reduced.

Similarly, the skin on the top of our hands thin as we get older. The veins and bones become more prominent giving our hands an ‘old look’. A liquid hand lift will fill out the hand tissue giving it a ‘thicker’ and younger look. This is an office procedure done with local anesthesia. You may use your new hands for normal activity the next day.

Results are longer lasting than standard filler procedures and there is some permanent improvement. However, some touchup work will be required.
